Case Study - Recruiting Agency Assessment

Case Study – Recruiting Agency Assessment
Global Consumer Electronics Manufacturer

The Challenge

On-site marketing is a strategic category for our client. They were not unhappy with their current provider but they realized it had been years since a proper market scan had been conducted to find out what other suppliers were out there, what they had to offer, how strong their contracts were and what innovation was occurring in the market.

Our client was utilizing numerous suppliers with inconsistent contracts, service levels and pricing. Risk was assumed almost exclusively by our client and in most cases, contracts were provided by the suppliers on their terms.

The Contrax Approach

Contrax was asked to help. We recommended that we conduct a thorough vendor assessment to allow our client to understand where there are opportunities for improvement.

As part of our standard assessment methodology, Contrax gathered the data necessary from our client, which allowed us to baseline certain areas.

1 - Vendor performance
2 - Contractual risk
3 - Service levels
4 - Pricing & financial
5 -Business processes

We then took the next step to compare this benchmark situation against market best-in-class within the clients industry and beyond.

This comparison yielded numerous opportunities for improvement, which we then developed into specific recommendations categorized as short, mid and long term opportunities. Adding in the investment in resources, capital and other requirements creates an ROI for the client allowing them to prioritize them properly.

The Result

The Contrax team, working alongside the client team in a facilitated workshop developed a final set of critical recommendations with implementation roadmaps that focused on several areas of improvement:

    • Contractual standardization
    • Market relevant pricing
    • Supplier Performance Metrics
    • Process enhancements

Our client was able to take these recommendations and integrate them into their annual plans and then measure the benefits.

"Managing your staffing agencies comes with hundreds of data points, and manually entering this data into spreadsheets is simply both ineffective and inefficient. Using spreadsheets to manage your staffing vendors leads to fragmented processes and divided data across your organization."
